The Truth About Me

One of the most common questions I get from people whenever I’m reading out in public or at work is “oh, so what are you reading?” I’m usually not bothered by the interruption, but I always end up getting that this-was supposed-to-be-a-one-answer-question look.

In all fairness, I am a little talkative when it comes to books. I could ramble on and on about a few of my favorite genres like non-fiction, fiction, historical fiction, classic, young adult, contemporary, fantasy, and historical biography too. And if someone mentions anything about the Civil War, I could pretty much melt their ears off.

Still, I think I’m a pretty cool person. When I’m not cocooning in my bedroom reading or just researching a history related topic, I’m regularly browsing the aisles at my local Barnes and Noble, rewatching Game of Thrones (or To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before ), and taking long evening walks with my adroable puppy.

Nevertheless, the good thing about those common blank stares is that it motivated me to find a little corner on the web where I can gush about my latest read and all things bookish. In this tiny space I’ve created, you’ll find book reviews, occasional history gems, and some beautiful photography.

So without further ado, my name is Sophie, and I’d like to welcome you to Sophie’s Books.

I’m happy you stopped by and hope to become friends!

XoXo!
